Itinerary:

Lima – Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes – Cusco – Puno – Copacabana – La Paz – Uyuni – San Pedro de Atacama – Calama – Santiago de Chile


Day 1 – Arrival in Lima, 154 masl

  • Arrival at the international airport of Lima, assistance and transfer to the Miraflores hotel

Overnight in Lima

Day 2 – Lima – City tour – Larco museum – Miraflores, 154 masl (B)

  • Panoramic tour of Miraflores residential district where you will see the Huaca Pucllana pre-Hispanic monument was built entirely in adobe bricks (sun-dried clay bricks)
  • Continuation to the historic center of Lima, San Martin Square, Main Square and the Cathedral of Lima.
  • Visit Saint Francis of Assisi Museum and Catacombs which was used as a public cemetery in the colonial period.
  • Visit the Larco museum and its magnificent collection of ceramics and gold from pre-Hispanic Peru
  • From return to Miraflores you will have a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean
  • Rest of the day is at leisure

Day 3 – Lima - Cusco – Huilloc Community – Ollantaytambo, 2,040 masl (B, L)

  • Transfer to Lima airport for your flight to Cusco, 1.15h
  • Arrival in Cusco assistance and transfer to Chinchero to appreciate from the Inca’s Balcony the impressive landscape of the Valley
  • Visit the Salinas of Maras, it is an impressive complex of extraction composed by large salt deposits
  • Excursion to the peasant community of the town of Huilloc, its people until today maintains the ancestral customs and traditions passed down from their ancestors. The Inca legacy is still alive. They offer the typical lunch called Pachamanca (food prepared in an oven made in the earth)
  • Return to Ollantaytambo and visit the last Inca fortress

Day 4 – Ollantaytambo – Machu Picchu – Cusco, 3,399 masl (B)

  • In the morning transfer to the train station for your boarding to Aguas Calientes
  • At the arrival meeting your local guide and visit the Inca Citadel of the Machu Picchu
  • In the afternoon transfer to the station to take the train to Cusco, almost 3 ½ hours journey
  • Arrival to Cusco and transfer to the hotel

Day 5 – Cusco – City tour, 3,399 masl (B)

  • In the morning visit the Historical Center, the Cathedral of Cusco, Main Square and the Qoricancha Temple
  • Visit to the neighboring ruins of Cusco, the archaeological complex of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo and Tambomachay
  • Lunch at local restaurant
  • Afternoon is at leisure

Day 6 – Cusco – Raqchi – La Raya – Puno, 3,800 masl (B, L)
Distance: 380 km

  • In the morning travel to Puno (almost 9-hours journey)
  • Along the way you will start visiting the picturesque town of Andahuaylillas, also known as the "Sistine Chapel of the Andes", Raqchi Temple and storage site. The road offers impressive landscapes from Cusco subtropical highlands to Puno region high plains
  • Buffet lunch included
  • Short stop in La Raya the highest step of the trip and limit between the regions of Cusco and Puno about 4,335 meters above sea level.
  • Afterwards will visit the Pukara Museum, a collection of the Tiahuanaco, Pukara and Inca cultures

Day 7 – Titicaca Lake – Uros Island – Copacabana, Bolivia, 3,841 masl (B)
Distance: 215 km

  • In the morning, excursion to Titicaca lake to the unique Floating Islands of the Uros that inhabits community that took refuge on the waters of this lake. During the excursion you will see how the native people built their rafts using totora reeds, it is a plant of the lake
  • Around 12:30pm to pick you up and the set off by tourist-class bus for the city of Copacabana.
  • Arrival in Copacabana, reception and transfer to your hotel

Day 8 – Copacabana - Isla del Sol - Copacabana, 3.841 masl (B, L)

  • In the morning we will go to the port to depart by speed boat (50 minutes) to the Isla del Sol, where we will visit the Inca Palace "Pilcokaina" and have a typical dish called Apthapi (among the main products are potatoes, chuño, beans , mote, cold cheese, banana, hard or fried egg), then continue with a panoramic walk to the Community of Yumani, where you will visit the Inca Garden, the Sacred Fountain of the Incas and the Yumani Stairways.
  • Afterrwards, to cross the lake again to return to the city of Copacabana
  • Arrival and transfer to your hotel

Day 9 – Copacabana – La Paz, 3.640 masl (B)
Distance: 140 Km

  • In the morning, we will visit the Copacabana Church and the Local Market. In the afternoon, transfer to the city of La Paz by touristic bus (3½ hour journey).
  • On route we will cross by motor boat the Strait of Tiquina (20 minutes journey), which is the narrowest part of Lake Titicaca, dividing the shortest Lake (Wiñaymarka) from the biggest Lake (Chucuito).
  • Arrival in La Paz and transfer to the hotel.

Day 10 – La Paz – City tour, 3.640 masl (B)

  • Pick up from the hotel to start the visit to the traditional neighborhoods of the city such as: San Pedro (known for its famous prison, whose infrastructure and organization are totally different aspects to other prisons in the world) and Sopocachi (first residential area of ​​the city) where We will transfer in the cable car enjoying a beautiful view of the City La Paz and start the excursion to the Valley of the Moon that is located 10 km. from the center of the city, whose curious clay formations were created by the erosion of winds and heavy rains, named after Neil Armstrong.
  • Afterwards there will be a short panoramic tour of the Residential Zone and the highest football stadium in the world, making a stop at the Killi Killi viewpoint (whose view reaches 360 °) for a later transfer to the historic area of ​​La Paz, where you will visit one of the oldest streets in the city like Jaén Street, famous for the infrastructure of the houses and for the area of ​​the Museums (optional visit 1 museum), then we will have a short walk to the political center of the country, visiting the Murillo Square, the Presidential Palace, the Legislative Palace, the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Church of San Francisco. Nearby is a beautiful bolivian restaurant where you will have a typical traditional lunch and finally finish with a guided tour of the famous Witches’ market (where the mystical aspect of the rituals and the Andean thought will be understood).
  • Return to the hotel.

Overnight in La Paz

Day 11 – La Paz – Uyuni, 3,700 masl (B, D)

  • Transfer to the airport El Alto for your flight to Uyuni
  • Arrival, reception and transfer to the town of Uyuni
  • We will visit the train cemetery,
  • Afterwards transfer to the Salt Hotel
  • Dinner included

Day 12 – Uyuni – Laguna Hedionda, 4,115 masl (B, D)

  • Breakfast at the Salt hotel
  • In the morning trip to the Salar de Uyuni and we´ll head in our 4x4 Jeep to the word´s largest desert of salt, in the indigenous community of Colchani, to take a look at the salt extraction and treatment process, entrance and walk through the middle of this amazing whiteness desert
  • During our next stop you will see the Salt Hotel in the center of Uyuni was once a functioning hotel made completely of salt from walls to beds, but now operates only as a sort of museum
  • Afterwards, visit Incahuasi Island, which is home to huge cactus
  • Dinner at the hotel

Overnight in Laguna Hedionda

Day 13 – Laguna Hedionda – San Pedro Atacama, Chile, 2,408 masl (B, BL)

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Depart for the Hito Cajon on the Chilean border. Passage through the jewels of the Andes, appreciating the spectacular landscape of vicuñas and llamas, differents small lakes named: Cañapa, Hedionda, Honda, Ramaditas, Verde, each of these lagoons have different colors
  • Continuation to reach the Eduardo Avaroa Reserve located in the South Lipez región. Arrival al Sol de Mañana to view the spectacular active geysers. Polkes Lagoon where you can take a swim in the termal waters. Arbol de Piedra strange rock formation. Later continue on to the Salvador Dali Desert, the Laguna Colorada, one of the greatest natural wonders of Bolivia
  • Arrival at the border Bolivia with Chile, reception and transfer to San Pedro de Atacama
  • Box lunch included

Overnight in San Pedro de Atacama.

Day 14 – San Pedro Atacama – Tatio Geyser – Moon Valley, 2,408 masl (B, D)

  • At 5 am early in the morning departure for the Geysers located at 4300 masl. Arrival at sunrise, a time when the geysers are the most spectacular. We will explore on foot the geothermal field and the eruptionof the highest geyser reaches about 7 meters, and then enjoy a rich thermal bath (subject to availability).
  • Picnic breakfast in the middle of the geysers.
  • On the way back, we will have time to enjoy the landscapes of flora and fauna, visit of Machuca village. Return to San Pedro de Atacama around noon
  • At 15.00 pm. Departure to the Moon Valley to contemplate the patterns formed by erosion from water and wind.Amazing landscapes and you will see one of the most beautiful sunsents over the central cráter of the Moon Valley that you have ever seen
  • Return to San Pedro around 7:30 pm. Dinner at the hotel

Day 15 – San Pedro de Atacama – Calama – Santiago de Chile, 570 masl (D)

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Morning is at leisure
  • Afternoon transfer to the airport for your flight to Santiago de Chile, (almost 2 hour flight)
  • Arrival at Santiago de Chile, reception and transfer to the hotel
  • Dinner at the hotel

Day 16 – Santiago de Chile – City tour, 570 masl (B)

  • In the morning, City tour of Santiago: Santa Lucia Hill, San Francisco church, La Moneda Presidential Palace, The Cathedral of Santiago, Libertador Bernardo O´Higgins Square, Historic Central Post Office, Main Square, Forestal Park
  • Afternoon is at leisure

Overnight in Santiago.

Day 17 – Santiago de Chile, (B)

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • At the appropriate time, transfer to the Santiago airport for your international flight home
